Division of Health Technology Assessment

The Division of Health Technology Assessment plays an important role in the scientific work of the Institute.

The Division aims to increase the efficiency of Moscow healthcare system through systematization, analysis and synthesis of scientific evidence in medical care. Based on the data obtained, the Division provides support in decision-making by choosing medical technologies that are the most suitable in accordance with socio-economic policy of Moscow.

Areas of activity: 

• Evaluation of medical technologies for organizations subordinate to Moscow Healthcare Department using the methodology of pharmacoeconomic analysis.
• Research organization and practice on the development and implementation of methods that provide suitable, scientifically-based and fair choice of medicines and other medical technologies in terms of fixed budget.
• Analysis of new criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of treatment methods.
• Research in pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology and health economics to determine cost-effective healthcare technologies in Moscow.
• Educational events on medical technologies and pharmacoeconomic analysis, as well as their practical application in modern healthcare.
